The retro console collection

Did I finish this game, or just remember it?

I see people online today looking at 30 and thinking that ‘low quality’ graphics look like they belong on a PlayStation 2.

Well, I’m much older than that. I remember being thankful for graphics at all in old adventure games! Hell, those games would look like a postage stamp on an Apple Watch these days!

Now, not all older games hold up over time. They did what they could at the time, but they can be hard to play today. Others look at games today and wonder where the competition is.

But which games do hold up, and how did they influence today’s games?

I wouldn’t mind making longer-form videos on these old classics. How do they play today? How did newer games be influenced by them? What did they mean to me growing up?

There will be a variety of game styles and sources as well. Starting from the Commodore 64 when I was a kid, then moving up to PC games. Console-wise, I will be checking out classics I missed from the NES/Master System days up to maybe PlayStation 2.

But if I am going to be playing all these games, capturing 100+ hours of a game, how do I make the time? Well, why not stream it on Twitch?
